Have you ever looked at craigslist?  We have been looking for a rental and I have been sneaking into the furniture section because once we get our tax return (if hubby’s company ever decides to send his W2 out) I want some new to me furniture. So, I have seen this one ad many times over the past couple weeks:

6 PEICE BRAND NEW LIVING ROOM!! SOFA 275 BRAND NEW – $275 (sw ocala)

• COMPLETE NEW LIVING ROOM SET…. couch,, $275 love seat$ 250 , coffee table,$75 2 end tables $65 FURNITURE NEW just paid $2200 will sell all for 495.00…………………….. and matching pictures. 

So, this add ran, for at least two weeks then tonight I see this as a heading in the furniture section:

PLEASE TELL ME !DO PEOPLE JUST HAVE NO MONEY – $1 (OCALA)

HAVE A LISTING ON FOR A 6 PEICE BRAND NEW LIVING ROOM SET I PAID 2200 SELLING ALL FOR ONLY 495……………. BRAND NEW,, SO PLEASE TELL ME WHT SOMEONE WOULD BUY A 4 TO 10 YEAR OLD COUCH FOR THE SAME PRICE, I GUESS I AM JUST CONFUSED………. PLEASE LET ME KNOW

HELLLOOOOOO!!!  Are you living under a rock?? 

Yes, I replied to this person!  I didn’t get rude I just basically said YES people have NO money.  I told this person I have been unemployed over a year, heck almost two, we are a family of five living on one very meager income.  I am waiting on my tax return before I purchase anything because I like electricity and my children like to eat!

I probably should have explained about spell check and that “peice” is actually piece… but i left that part alone.

Today I am trying to find my desk and get rid of paperwork in files I may no longer need.  This sent me on a google quest to find out how long I need to keep certain records, after all, my pay stubs folder is bulging at the seams.

So…. tonight we were watching Ice Age 3 and it gets to the part where the momma mammoth gives birth. You hear this nice little cry and the conversation goes like this:
Me: Ya, right, a baby mammoth just happens to cry like a newborn human!
Lewis: (my 18 yr old son) MOM! [...]
